I have a $5,000 cash reward to the 1st person who can prove that FDACS is not a “banana republic” run by Rentokil and force FDACS to do a for cause bee kill investigation of Costa Honey Farm, as per SOP, testing for all pesticides and herbicides that have been available since 1/25, as well as pesticides and herbicides awaiting approval. 10 weeks after an admitted, egregious/illegal misuse of a pesticide (by a local pesticide company’s technician), FDACS found 40,000 of Fipronil at the admitted kill site as well as an Imidacloprid. 88% of our hive tops and entrances tested positive for Diuron. 50% of the approximately 60 tests showed positive for at least one poison. FDACS AES’s control swab tested positive for 4 poisons. FDACS did not think these findings were important enough to investigate. They completely ignored the Imidacloprid at the admitted kill site 10 weeks after the admitted egregious/illegal misuse of a pesticide. FDACS does not test for most of the pesticides and herbicides sold at the Home Depot. Our apiary was wiped out by an egregious/illegal misuse of pesticides.
